Woven wallet handmade from sheep's wool and natural dyes (8x4in), by Zenón Bautista of Raíz Zapoteca, Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca.
Purple: naturally dyed with cochinilla, a parasitic bug that feeds on the juice of the nopal cactus, traditionally harvested, dried, and ground to make vibrant reds, pinks, and purples.
Yellow: naturally dyed with pericón, a flowering plant traditionally used to make yellows, oranges and some greens.
Grey: woven from three different natural wools, undyed. Traditional design represents the stars.
